Who Fits Harmar Lifts
Harmar works through dealers instead of selling to customers itself. The company, founded in 1998, is headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. Harmar's lifts are designed and put together in the USA, with dealers in all 50 states.
Harmar introduced LiftSquad, a national installation network in 2018. LiftSquad covers installers Harmar has trained and certified to fit and look after its products. Dealers already working with Harmar put in an application to join. Members who are accepted get ongoing factory training and annual background checks.
We list 967 installers, of which 450 carry Harmar, and 169 of those carry Bruno too. Our listings are pulled from the public dealer locators run by Bruno and Harmar, and we refresh them quarterly.
Harmar Installation, Step by Step
Survey at home
A Harmar dealer measures your stairs, checks for a power outlet near the top or bottom, and gives you a written price.
Order
From order to fitting day: 1 to 15 days (straight; curved 3 to 5 weeks).
Fitting day
2 to 4 hours on site (straight; curved about 3 hours), and the lift works before the fitter leaves.
Handover and repairs
The fitter shows you the controls and safety stops. For repairs and servicing, call the Harmar dealer who fitted it.
Harmar Pinnacle Models
Harmar's home stair lifts are sold under the Pinnacle name, including the SL300 and SL600. Your dealer will help you pick the right one for your stairs and your needs.
The SL600 works on staircases with a slope of 27 to 52 degrees. Incline just means the steepness of the staircase. During a power cut, the SL600's battery keeps it going for as many as 60 trips.
How Long Does the Fitting Take?
According to Harmar, a straight lift can often be fitted in just a few hours. With a curved staircase, Harmar describes a visit of roughly three hours with a two- or three-person crew. Numbers collected across the wider industry tend to sit somewhat higher.
| Stair type | Hours on site | Time from ordering to fitting |
|---|---|---|
| Straight | Around 2 to 4 hours | Anywhere from 1 to 15 days |
| Curved | Around 4 to 5 hours | Roughly 3 to 5 weeks |
A curved lift takes longer to arrive because each rail is built to match the individual staircase.
Installed Price by Staircase
The ranges here are for a new lift, fitting included. Each range runs from the typical low to the typical high price stated by three or more independent price guides, manufacturers or dealers, so treat it as a guide rather than a firm quote.
| Stair type | Price fitted |
|---|---|
| Indoor, straight | $2,500 to $7,500 |
| Indoor, curved | $9,000 to $15,000 |
| Two straight flights with a landing | $9,000 to $15,000 |
| Outdoor, straight | $4,000 to $10,500 |
| Outdoor, curved | $10,000 to $20,500 |
Harmar Stair Lift Warranty
The Pinnacle brochure sets out a 3-year transferable warranty, or limited lifetime cover on the SL600. Transferable means the cover moves with the lift if ownership changes. The gear rack is the toothed strip running along the rail that the lift travels up.
| Component | SL300 cover | SL600 cover |
|---|---|---|
| Parts | 2 years | No figure given |
| Motor | No figure given | Lifetime |
| Gear rack | 10 years | Ten years |
| Battery | 12 months | 12 months |
These details are drawn from the SL300 terms and SL600 terms pages. Harmar also points out that warranty terms differ between dealers, so check the written terms your dealer gives you.
Service and Repairs After Fitting
For anything that goes wrong, the dealer who put the lift in is your first port of call for repairs and warranty claims. Harmar recommends a yearly service by the dealer, although it isn't compulsory. Of the 450 Harmar dealers we list, 341 list repair and maintenance work.

Can a lift bought online or second-hand be installed?
Certain installers will fit a straight lift the owner has already purchased. This kind of install-only job typically runs $550 to $850.
Does a longer staircase cost more?
A typical straight rail measures 15.5 ft. Every additional foot of rail generally adds somewhere between $80 and $100.
Does this site fit Harmar lifts?
No. This site doesn't sell, install or service lifts itself. It simply lists dealers, and installers sometimes pay the site for introductions.
